Cafe Frida's sits tucked into the winding streets of Sololaki, offering a slice of old Tbilisi life framed by colorful walls and an interior sprinkled with paintings and quirky details. More than just a spot for a caffeine fix, it feels like a relaxed base where locals and visitors alike settle in for a slow morning or an afternoon pause, often drawn by the blend of artful vibe and city views from its rooftop.

Inside, the space is light and open, making early hours particularly pleasant for visitors who appreciate some quiet time before the daytime crowd sets in. Its colorful interior, along with thoughtful touches scattered around, creates a casual yet vibrant backdrop, perfect for breather moments or catching up on some reading.

When it comes to the menu, Cafe Frida's leans into a broad appeal with crepes standing out — from savory chicken varieties to vegetarian options, along with sweet choices featuring banana and Nutella or local touches like tvorog and berries. Hot drinks like Turkish coffee, rich chocolate beverages, and an ice latte complement these offerings well. Locals seem to appreciate the balance of comfort food and specialty drinks here, making it a solid spot for brunch or a leisurely afternoon pick-me-up.

The rooftop is a quieter attraction in itself, offering panoramic views over Tbilisi’s skyline and the nearby palace — a reminder of the historic setting this cafe calls home. While the place can be popular with tourists, the atmosphere keeps a gentle neighborhood feel thanks to welcoming staff and the cafe’s integration into the hotel or guesthouse it's part of.

This isn’t the spot for a quick grab-and-go or budget bites, as prices can trend on the higher side, but those lingering over a book, conversations, or quiet contemplation will find the setting suits well. Occasional visits for a relaxing brunch or an early morning coffee before the streets fill seem especially rewarding, particularly for those who enjoy local color blended with a curated café experience.

Very nice cafe located in/about the hotel. Nice crepes and great coffee only a bit expensive with 15 Lari for a smal lemonade with strawberry

I love the ambiance of the cafe. It is nearby of my hotel so I tried to have my brunch in Cafe Fridas. I was the only customer that time and I really enjoyed my me time. I love their chocolate drinks and crepe. Highly recommended!

Very authentic place in old tbilisi. Atmosphere is on point, the view is amazing and there are a lot of paintings and small details in the interior. Service is also nice. And the food is tasty, can recommend : chicken crepes, nachos and cocktails.

Atmospheric and very colorful space with nice staff! It’s a popular place among tourists, so if you want to take some nice photos better go there in the morning (there’s a lot of space for photos inside). Regarding the food, we took a turkish coffee with crepes. Photos attached, very delicious!

Café Frieda, Tbilisi, Georgia: Tucked somewhere in the tight labyrinth of Sololaki streets is Café Frieda, named after – Frieda, of course. It’s part of a hotel or bed and breakfast. Head towards the rooftop where you get a panoramic view of the city and the palace. We had drinks here after a torturous walk all day and traipse down the Mother Georgia. It’s easy to miss this spot, so google your way here. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Cool atmospheric restaurant. Very interesting design. Lots of little details that you can look at for a long time and that add up to a nice overall picture. Delicious cocktails, tasty pancakes. No questions at all about the menu. The staff are also very nice people. The main disadvantage is the way to the place. You have to walk uphill for quite a long time through the old town. And in the summer heat it is plus a few iced drinks in the order.
